lascaux cave painting
Each year, 6th grade studies the ancient cave paintings of Lascaux. We use pigments and ochres gathered from our local area and from the pigments my French mother in law sends to us from the Lascaux region. We also create aerosol sprayers using straws and a small cup to replicate the techniques used by ancient humans to make the famous hand prints found on the cave walls.
